Posted on August 11, 2011

170 Million Americans For Public Broadcasting, a non-governmental association of public radio and television stations, producers, national organizations and members of the public,  is offering 16 free songs for anyone who signs up to become an advocate for public broadcasting.

The “Raise Your Voice Campaign” is offering songs for download from artists like Tom Waits, Wilco, Neko Case and Booker T Jones to anyone who provides a valid email address and Zip code.

“This exclusive compilation is a thank you to all our supporters,” the Raise Your Voice site says.

According to a post on WFUV 90.7s website, the compilation is a partnership between them, 170 Million Americans for Public Broadcasting and ANTI- Records and is comprised of “ANTI- artists who love public broadcasting.”

Canadian postal codes, at this point, are not blocked and will work.

The site currently has 11000 Facebook “likes” and just over 1100 twitter followers.
